A personal finance dashboard for tracking money, budgets, goals and reports

Smart Finance Tracker is a browser-based personal finance dashboard designed for Indian college students. It records income and expenses, groups spending by category, tracks budgets and savings goals, and turns the data into six months of charts, a monthly report with suggestions and a short money guide. All figures are in rupees and everything is stored in the browser, so there is no account to create. The app opens on a dashboard summarising income, expenses, balance and savings rate for the current month.

How to Use

  1. Open the dashboard

Loading the site lands on the October dashboard. Four cards show total income, total expenses, remaining balance and monthly savings with a savings rate, and the panels below compare income against expenses and break spending down by category. Use the month selector at the top to move between months.

  2. Record a transaction

Open Add Transaction from the sidebar. Choose Expense or Income, type an amount or use a quick add button, pick a category and a payment method, adjust the date if needed and add an optional note. Pressing the main button saves it; the dashboard, analysis and reports update with the new figure right away.

  3. Plan budgets and goals

Budget Planner sets a monthly limit per category, and the dashboard shows how much of each limit is used, with an alert when one is crossed. On Goals you create a target with an amount and a date, then use Add money to grow it; each goal card shows the percentage saved and days remaining.

  4. Review and learn

Analysis offers a 3M, 6M or 12M view of income, expenses, savings, categories and payment methods. Reports summarises a chosen month with a biggest expense and three suggestions. Money Guide holds a 50/30/20 calculator, a needs-versus-wants panel and ten lessons, and Settings handles theme, CSV export and import and data reset.
