This is a single-page body mass index calculator written in Portuguese. The user enters weight and height, optionally adds age and sex, and the page instantly returns the BMI value, the World Health Organization weight classification, a short guidance sentence for that band and the ideal weight range for the given height. A color-coded BMI scale places the result visually, and every calculation is saved to a local history table stored only in the browser, which can be cleared at any time. The page also lists the WHO categories, the BMI formula and a disclaimer about the limits of the index.

How to Use

Enter your measurements
Open the page and type your weight in kilograms into the Peso field and your height in meters or centimeters into the Altura field. Age and sex are optional and can be left as they are.
Run the calculation
Press the Calcular IMC button. The result panel replaces the waiting message and shows your BMI value, the matching classification, a short guidance sentence and the ideal weight range for your height, with a marker placed on the BMI scale.
Review and repeat
Each calculation is added to the Historico local table with date, weight, height, BMI and classification so you can compare entries over time. Use the Limpar button to reset the form or Apagar historico to delete the stored entries from this browser.
