Configure an OTDR measurement, generate a fiber trace, and inspect loss, reflections, and detected events.

This Arabic-language interactive simulator recreates the working view of an optical time-domain reflectometer. Users can choose a measurement wavelength, pulse width, and test range, adjust attenuation, averaging quality, and event sensitivity, set the number of simulated events, and enable a reflective fiber end. Generating a trace updates the Canvas graph, marker calculations, detected fiber length, sampling and resolution metrics, dynamic range, dead zone, and a structured event table covering splice or bend loss, connector reflections, and the fiber end.

How to Use

Choose measurement settings
Select the wavelength, pulse width, and distance range from the control panel. These settings define the simulated measurement conditions and are reflected in the status line above the trace.
Tune the simulated fiber
Use the sliders to set attenuation, averaging quality, event detection sensitivity, and the number of fiber events. Enable or disable the reflective fiber-end option to change how the simulated link terminates.
Generate and inspect the trace
Press the new-trace button to create a fresh measurement. Review the plotted OTDR response and compare marker A and B distances, loss between markers, and the calculated attenuation coefficient.
Review detected events
Read the measurement information and event table below the graph. Each row reports distance, event type, event loss, reflection where applicable, and cumulative loss along the simulated fiber.
